tiger-woods-apologizes-to-wife-for-mass-effect-2-straying

Tiger Woods apologizes to wife for Mass Effect 2 straying

A few months ago, the world was stunned as a series of events that caused the famous golfer’s life to spin out of control. Today, Tiger Woods made a very public apology.  During the psuedo-press conference Tiger directly addressed his extramarital dalliances and apologized to his wife and children when he said:

“To my wife and family, I strongly regret my actions. While away in the Terminus systems, I made a series of poor decisions, leading up to an indiscretion with Miranda, my teammate. I regret this decision and apologize for my actions.”

After choking back a tear, Tiger went on to add:

“I also apologize for having angry sex with Jack, it was a one off thing and we agreed never to speak about it again and we haven’t. It’s over between us. For that, to my family. I apologize.”

A stunned audience sat in eerie silence as Tiger gathered his thoughts. After a long pause, Tiger spoke again:

“If I’m coming clean, I mind as well fess up to my teammates that I also killed Samara while we were on Omega. Yeah, that’s not Samara over there, but her daughter Mornith. You guys didn’t notice so, I didn’t say anything. I apologize.

Oh yeah, I also boned Tali, but come on, you’ve got to forgive me on that one. I just wanted to see what she looked like under that mask.”

Halo 3 – Lono’s First 30 Minutes of Greatness!

by Lono

I took that crappy pic myself with my phone. Yes, I’ve just finished playing the first level of Halo 3! To say that it exceeded my expectations is an understatement. I’m not going to go into the how or where, I’ll just get to it.

Although I was underwhelmed with the opening cinematic, the game throws you into the mix pretty quickly. After orienting you to the situation, you make a desparate trek through African Rain Forest to try and save a captured Sgt. Johnson.

Luckily you start off with the Assault Rifle and your trusty pistol from Halo: CE, sans scope. The pistol felt good, but dang, that Assault rifle is a force!

Pouring through the jungle, you soon meet your new opponents clad in Yellow and Blue Armor. In a nice touch, after you’ve hit them enough times, pieces of armor come off of their bodies until you’re ready for the melee kill. Satisfying. In fact, the graphics were very detailed. I was surprised at how much detail went into the forest and the covenant forces. As you shoot the enemies in various places, I noticed parts of their armor come off and blood, alien blood, pour from different spots. It looked really good, I was surprised at how good it looks compared to the beta from only a few months ago….

The A.I. was also impressive. It was pretty surprising to hear the underlings yelp with fear after you had taken out the Brute Commanders of each little alien squad. I could go on and on, but I’ve got to say that I cannot wait for early Tuesday morning.

The definitive Bioshock on the PS3?

Halloween is truly a great time of year. Not only is it socially acceptable to dress like Grimace from McDonald’s, but you also get free candy. Hmmmm… Purple velvet. Though I am admittedly too old to continue going door-to-door, I still find the holiday quite enjoyable.

My anticipation for the holiday is at a fever pitch this year, as numerous quality titles are set to release in the month of October. These include “Dead Space,” “Guitar Hero: World Tour” and the PS3 version of “Bioshock.”

The critically-acclaimed title is finally making an appearance on Sony’s home console after more than a year of timed exclusivity for the 360 and PC. Check out the new, gorgeous trailer, after the jump. [continue reading →]

Episode 86: Extra Life: Are You With Us?

extralifepodcast

Welcome to the last second.  The nick of time.  The skin of our teeth.

Extra Life is nearly here.

In this episode of the show we discussed our personal reasons for getting involved in Extra Life, and the ways that people around the world are making this event their own.  We’re just days away from the 2nd annual event, that raises money for pediatric cancer research and treatment.

We also got deep into a game called Demon Souls, Brutal Legend, and even hinted at something hysterical coming up on the next episode.  Find out which member of the show got lost on the easiest driving mission in Brutal Legend.  Hear Dave say something rather intelligent.  Meet a child you would love to have known.

It’s a special episode of the Sarcastic Gamer Podcast, with an ending you don’t want to miss.

To get involved in Extra Life (There’s still time) just decide whether you’d like to SIGN UP to play on Saturday or simple DONATE.

If you’d really like to make Lono happy sponsor him.

If you don’t want Dave to get jealous, you’d better sponsor him too.

FINALLY, here’s the link so that you can get the embed code for last year’s video, created by our friend TempleDog.  See how many sites you can get to post it.  Time is running out.  Every bit helps.

pick-me-up

I’ve noticed a lot of people are down these days. It might be love, work, or family related, but depression is depression. I try to find ways to get people out of their funk, and here’s one solution. I know when I’m a funk, the right song can bring me out of it.

Get jiggy with it after the jump. [continue reading →]

Guitar Hero Get The Money, Dolla Dolla Bill Ya’ll

Guitar Hero is looking to out do Rock Band 2 in every way with Guitar Hero: World Tour. Upgraded and more realistic guitars and drums, as well as a master track list that runs neck and neck with Rock Band 2. Let’s not forget that you’ll also be able to create your own music with this bad boy. That’s not all. Activision has announced in a press release that they found a way to make the experience get even realer.

Sadly, I’m not talking about sex crazed groupies. [continue reading →]
